to the information site of the TCG Society Leiden a.e. We organise various Pokémon activities in Leiden, Den Haag and Haarlem in The Netherlands.
This site has the objective to provide information about all our playgrounds where you can play in the Pokémon league or participate in official (sanctioned) tournaments that are organized by our Tournament Organizers (TO's)in the game stores De Tafelridder (Leiden), and in Het Spellenhuis (Den Haag and Haarlem).

The Pokémon trading card game is a strategic card game (comparable with chess) played with decks of 60 cards. These decks contain Pokémon, Trainer cards and Energy cards, which will be used to knock out your opponents Pokémon. The one who as knocked out the team of the opponent first is the winner.

We also organise for Pokémon videogamers the VGC Premier Challenges.
The activities of the TCG Society Leiden a.e. is part of the worldwide Play! Pokémon program of The Pokémon Company international and focuses on two main activities:


Pokémon League:
The Pokémon leagues have set themselves the objective to promote the Pokémon Trading Card Game as a game and have fun with Pokémon. To this end, we organize meetings where you can (learn to) play the trading card game by the rules. Players can participate and earn exclusive promo card rewards. You will also meet there others who, like you, are interested in Pokémon.

Tournaments:
For the 2022-2023 season there are the following (series of) tournaments planned on the calendar. That will be for the coming year the League Challenge and the League Cups for Trading Card Gaming and for VGC we organize Premier Challenges. For more information about these individual tournaments you can click on the link button of your choice in the black top bar of this page. This website enables registration for these tournaments also, by means of a link in the Tournament Calendar.
We also organize in the stores where our pokémon leagues are located the so-calledPrereleases as local non-rated (fun) tournaments (not rating for Championship points by which one can earn an invitation to participate in the World Championships). Who wants to know more about these tournaments are advised to read the detailed information about our tournaments (see button "TCG Tournaments" in the black topbar). The registration for the Prerelease tournaments is done by a link provided at that particular tournament in the tournament calendar. Where possible we also announce the league tournaments in our Tournament calendar. The tournament calendar is updated regularly, as many of the other web pages that are shown in the options under the buttons above, so please check regularly the information provided.
